Bloggers Wanted
The new website includes a blogging platform for Wrinkle Point Association members, allowing you to express your thoughts, insights & perspectives on issues relevant to the community. The goal is to provide the community with an easy-to-use means of sharing information.
All blogs are brief, and the code of conduct is simple—no language you wouldn’t use talking to your neighbors at the pool, playground or marina. No politics, and no blogs that are overtly promotional of a product or service.
And creating a blog is easier than you think. Just email me a week or 2 before you want to submit it and I’ll schedule it. Once you’ve drafted your blog, I’ll copyedit it, post it and also add a link to it in the Wrinkle Point Facebook Group page. If you need assistance writing your piece let me know and I’ll give you a hand. The following are guidelines for creating a blog:
- Target length is 250-400 words, maximum length is 600 words
- The title should be relatively brief and catchy—blogs with titles that fit on a single line look much better than longer titles
- The blog should have a clear point of view or position on a defined topic
- Each blog requires an image, so if you have one you’d like to include please email it to me with your blog. If not, I’ll find a relevant image or create one for you.
- You can include relevant hyperlinks in the blog if you like
- Please add a sentence or 2 at the end about your background so it can be included in an author profile
- Please also send a photo of yourself or even avatar you’d like to see with the blog. Even a cell phone shot is fine, and I can crop whatever you send to fit the layout.
Now it’s time to sharpen our pencils, I’m looking forward to reading some of your thoughts & perspectives!
